next on the list for the fender, stereo.
Got the rear sorted (not connected, but planned) with a pair of 6x9s and a sub.
need to sort the front, so, are there any decent 4" speakers to replace the crap ones I have (mine are even worse than standard ones, cos the cones ripped in one)
Was thinking of some components, but they dont seem to exist in 4" flavour, so might have to go with some coaxials and a pair of tweeters up top.

will 6x9s fit under the dash without me smacking my knees against them though?

I was thinking of not bothering with the under dash 4" as they are a pain in the knee cap, and just do the 6x9's in the back (amp behind the passenger seat or under cubby box) and tweeters on the top of dash.
That would give a good full sound and you might not need the sub either.
But if you did want to go for a sub 'Focal' are bitch'in, but not cheap. Mount one of these on the bulkhead behind the drivers seat and you have all the bass you can handle...
Focal BUS25 25cm Under Seat Active Car Subwoofer, 10inch Active Bass Tube
or
Focal IBus 20 - 20cm Under Seat Active Subwoofer, 8" Active Bass Tube

Cheers, mines a 110 though, so just the 6x9s in the backmight deafen the kids while i can barely hear it.
need somthing up front keep the soundstage forward, have ordered some of the jbls, and a pair of tweeters for the top of the dash.

Will look at the focal subs, see if they do a passive version, I already have a lightening audio amp from me nova days...

Hi TTEU,

I have a few questions if you don't mind, I’ve got a 110 and I’m looking at sorting the audio, have you changed the head unit as well? Also how hard is it to change the front speakers is it a simple unscrew and plug in or a re wire?

I rather fancy a sub but not sure where to put it so its our the way, so to speak, where are you going to put yours? Its like a Spanish inquisition this!

Cheers
ben

it didnt have a head unit when I bought it, so stuck a decent one in, it also had no aerial, so Ive uased one of those interior glass stick on ones, the standard wing position on mine seems atad vulnerable if im out laning..
Front speakers have 4 screws then they just drop out of the front, so changing them should be easy.

Ive only got 1 rear bench (mines a CSW) with 3 belts installed, so I cant put the other one in for my licence.
Sub is probably going on the side with no bench, either that or I'm going to get one (or 2) of the flat type ones, these will easily sit under the rear seats, If I go this route, Ill wire them to a multipole plug/socket for easy removal.
