Hi guys, have a year of you fitted auxiliary guages for water temp, oil pressure and oil temp? They are the electrical guages
Gt-520 oil and water temperature guages
Go-520 oil pressure guage
So can some one explain or have pictures where the sender units go ? As the instructions that came with them are pathetic and really useless. So can any one help?

Hi guys, my truck is a 1998 discovery 1 3.9 v8. This still has me stumped the guages came with the sensors but the instructions are like something you pull out of a cracker and has an awful joke on aghhhhhh

If / when I put some gauges on mine, I will do it for one reason only - to give me confidence that the engine is running nicely and there's no nasty things happening.
Gauges = knowledge and confidence ;)
If you've got some cheapy gauges from Madeupistan, with Chinglish cryptic instructions, then how can you feel confident they are reading accurately? and if you don't trust them fully, what's the point in fitting them?

Rover V8 has an oil filter housing with the oil pressure sender in it under the crank pulley at the front, I'm doing this from memory so forgive me being hazy, there should also be a blanking plug too and that goes straight to the pump gallery giving you options on fitting.

Hi dieseldog69, thank you for that nugget of info. I will get under the old girl when I've warmed up.
Pointless I know only to get cold again lol, but me arthritis plays up like the bastard spawn of satan in this weather. So would I be able to drill and thread there or is a thread present under blanking plug.
Would the oil temp guage mount there or would it mount higher up the block?
Dave :)
