It shows what you have to do to replace the oil seal and bearing - or is it totally different when you have removed the handbrake drum???

Yes
It is significantly different.
It is worth taking the backplate off and cleaning it.
There is also an oil drain hole the other side of the backplate which is prone to blocking that needs to be cleaned out.
There is also a different oil spinner, depending on age of motor.

As well, of course, as the handbrake mechanism.

Well no..... They both have a flange, a seal and a feckin big nut .

Yea now I looked again at the pictures again,Your correct,I thought it looked to easy,To the guy in the above post where about in Coventry is the repair man ??. So it looks as tho it might be back to getting a Disk Brake set up lol. Thanks for all the reply s men i do appreciate it.The thing is as im in my mid 60s its not that easy laying on the ground trying to carry out repairs any more,I love my discovery im not rich and just want an easy way of getting this prob sorted before its MOT in 7 weeks time.So once again thanks for all the replys.
