It seems that the driver's side door seal starting, after 16 years, to weaken. Nothing really bad but I start to have drops of water coming from the door under heavy storm/typhoon (We are in the middle of the Rainy season here) and/or when washing the car with Hi-pressure karsher.

So I would love to replace this little fella with a new one. However my question is rather simple... Where can I get a new one? 4x4 Island does not seems to have it on their catalog and neither P38Spares. Also any ideas on what part number these seal have?

Thanks in advance!

When my door seal started to leak it was because it had parted company with the bodywork at the roof to winscreen pillar corner. I tried various sealants to stick it back down with. Nothing worked for more than a few days. Surface prep is everything with bonding (we do loads of it at work), but under the seal is very tricky to clean properly. Then I tried this stuff...

Gorilla Glue - Home

You don't have to have a spotless clean surface either (it actually need to be wet). It's held the seal like a rock for the last 12 months.

Thanks for the tips I will look into it. As far as my case is concerned, the leak (very small) comes around the A-Pillar.

Ok, so I finally took this seriously and decided to secure the part (ALR6283LNF).

The good news is that I found a Range Rover Dealer in the UK who had one left still under Land Rover's original packing!!! The other good news is that he gave me up-front 60% discount!

Now I could give this to the folks who take care of my car, BUT, I want to give it a try and fix it myself, so... How hard could it be? Never installed such seals before.

1. How to remove the old one (I need apparently to remove the "Range Rover" name plat on the bottom of the door area)
2. Installing the new one, what should I be careful about?

Thanks
