Hi All, I have been changeing my springs, dampers, bushes and anti roll bar links, i have noticed that my drivers side front anti roll bar chassis mount has been bent forward and it looks as tho the roll bar is bent too. I have searched for info regarding wether i need the roll bar on the Disco for its MOT but there seems to be no clear answer, is there one ? I havent driven it yet so i dont know how it will be in the corners but i drive 110s at work without roll bars and they seem to be ok in the corners surley the Disco cant be any worse ? Any comments greatly appreciated, Cheers.

i think it all depends on your mot tester, some ppl remover the bars and pass some dont, some ppl remove the bars and mounts...if it isnt there they cant test it. i drive with rear removed no issues, the difference between none and just front is more than youd probably expect.

Thanks for the replies guys, i have fitted standard height heavy duty springs and heavy duty gas dampers. I will drive it tommorow and see what its like. Regarding the chassis mount do you think a hand held blow torch will be of any use to heat the mount before battering it with a big hammer ?

Both of mine are removed and I'm happy with how it handles on the road.
I'm refurbing 2 axles at the minute and will be grinding both of the ARB brackets off. :)

Hi All, Update on thread, i put the bottle jack that came with the Disco between the rear of the front axle and the bent roll bar mount and jacked it back into place. After repacing the springs, dampers, poly bushes and A-frame ball joint, what a DIFFERENCE !!! I knew it was all knackerd but wow.
Cheers all
