Um im a little confused - when trying to source bushes for my roll bars i have realised the drop links are missing & seem to have been replaced with angle iron bolted to the ends of the radius arms & there does not seem to be anywhere on the chassis for the drop links to connect to ????
1 - if i can source the bushes will it pass an mot like this or will it need the original type proper drop links ?
2 - can someone possibly let me know what vehicle these roll bars were originally fitted to so i can get the correct bushes ?
If not could one of you helpfull guys tell me what the adjustable rods on the ends of the roll bar are known as i have searched ebay for drop links & all it comes back with is ones that resemble track rod ends - i may have to go for a universal part but am unsure what they are called !
The closest main clamp bushes i can find that look similar is a range rover p38 - is it possible that they are p38 roll bars & brackets ?
as you can see from the piccies the bushes need doing on the adjustable rods bolted to the end of the roll bar too but i have no idea what vehicle they came from .

please help me someone as im really stuck here & will need to do these for the mot
thanks in advance
stu

I come across these earlier which will sort the main bush problem ( bit pricey i know but if it sorts it they will be purchased ) and according to my measurements they will fit !
The only other problem is the adjustable drop links on the ends as im getting bored of searching & getting nowhere - Have none of you ever come across this before ?
If i knew theyre proper name i might have more luck so please chaps try n help me out here

will grab some of those & measure the threaded bar - great help m8 thanks
any ideas how i could reduce the cost of the main bushes or shall i just go with the ones from ebay which i posted the linky to ?
37 quid is a little steep dont ya think ?
thanks again james much appreciated

cheers very much thats a bargain as i already have a set of new bushes for the main clamps so will just need the clamps themselves - saved me a few quid there james fair play,
found these a minute ago & my mate has a shogun i can jump under and measure so im hoping they are the same length. Problem solved !

Looks to me that when someone lifted it, they realised the ARB wouldn't properly accomodate the lift, so made these up .. the normal ARB link looks to be quite a bit shorter than this threaded rod.

Personally, I just took the ARB's off .. they need to be replaced at MOT time ... ;)

thanks alex - doesent look like i even have the mount points to take the top of the drop links - mmmm I have no idea what has some one has done - I just hope it will pass mot with the angle iron bodgey brackets - going to replace all the bushes, stick it in for mot & hope - a lot lol !
