anti roll bar has moved

hi all in the last few days have been experiencing some knocking on the front drivers side corner drop links i thought or maybe track rod ends .so today i got under the car to find the rollbar has moved to the right and is hitting the strut anti roll bar bushes are good (less than 8 months old) and the clamps holding the bushes and roll bar in place are good and tight any ideas how this could have happened ?? cheers all

Very common problem. The bar is supposed to have some collars each side of the clamps. These collars are made of plastic that cracks when the bars rust. Once cracked, the collars drop off allowing the bar to slide sideways. I've used small worm clips to hold them in place before now.
