Freelander 1 [ANSWERED] TD4 Clutch Master and Slave - Pattern Parts

Don't do it. If you use a pattern clutch slave it'll explode 10 months down the line when you least need it and it's an absolute b*****d to get at.
It'll also probably take your clutch plate out as well.

By all means use a pattern master, as it can be swapped out relatively quickly, but the one bit you don't want to screw with is the slave, for the extra £ouch it's worth it.
 
I fitted a Borg and Beck slave cylinder and it is complete dogsh1t. A few others on this forum have had problems with them too.
 
I wouldn't have expected that of Borg and Beck (going back to the 1990's) - B&G used to be good quality stuff?
have they done what everyone else is doing, and started making parts out of Plasticine, Knicker Elastic and Playdoh????
 
OK... so... other than Landrover (I think LUK make them)
have people on here got an outstanding preference to Slave Cylinders on the Freebies???
