another ?

as it sez up ther. where can i get a mild steel centre pipe as all i can find are stainless one's or failing that a standard middle box will do,i've just fitted the de-cat pipe and went to fit the new tail pipe and found the fitting on one end of the mid pipe looks bodged,the one i need has an olive each end like the first pic.

anyone got any idea's,i can't weld and would sooner get the right piece anyway.

nope just need the centre pipe,allready got a new tail pipe but it has an olive conection and my centre pipe has a sleeve conection sorry should have been clearer in my description,thank's anyway lerk if i'd have known about that in the first place i would have saved myself this hassle.

For the price you may as well get the lot, not aware of anyone selling the centre and rear section separately...

trying to split the joint between the mid and rear section usually results in needing both apparently!

Don't know what the mid pipe you have is, I've only ever seen the flange connection in that position.

My 300Tdi only has the flange at the front end, the rear section is the usual push one end in about 3" and tighten a U-bolt .. which might explain the difficulty you have ..

right,all sorted now,and the reason ive been struggling is ive been looking for the wrong part,being as it's a 300tdi discovery i was looking under disco parts :doh: what an eegit,it had a range rover 200tdi pipe on it as you'll see in the pics,but it's got the proper zaust now minus the cat'and wow what an improvemant it dosent feel like i'm driving with the hand brake on anymore'it's even got a proper turbo whistle now
