Afternoon all...just wanted to say hello, having just taken the plunge on my first 'proper' Landy (we have a Freelander 2), an '03 110 Defender SW (a rare, or so I'm told, 9 seater) which I'm picking up this weekend.

Had a pre-sales inspection on the truck by a specialist and all seems good, but I'm sure I'll be here looking for advice over the next weeks / months / years...

Any initial tips / tricks etc anyone wants to share would be very welcome!

Cheers
Andrew

Thanks...picked up a Disklok based on hearing positive things, but beyond that currently standard alarm / immobiliser (which I hear has much in common with a chocolate fireguard), so any security recommendations welcome...

Looking for advise over the next few weeks, your optimistic aren't you. It wont be that long before your on here. Luckily most jobs you will probably be able to do yourself. We enjoy ours.

Cheers Blaser...think I'll leave the welding to the pro's (for now), but looking forward to getting my hands dirty on the rest ;-)
