I have searched the forum and I am struggling to find an answer I replacd the rear solioned and lock on my 1999 freelander 5 door the rear window was working fine but now before the change now it will not go up or down I have tried to recalibrate the rear window but it now justs give a single beep I can hear the rear window relay click but nothing happens the glass is on the out side of the seal and looks to be sitting slight squint.

Please help this is driving me mad

Cheers Dave

Are you quite sure that the cables aren't stuck somewhere? When i replaced my drivers window cables i had to rejig the seating quite a bit to get it to go up correctly. If one of the threads of the wire has come loose, it is quite common for it to furl up and jam either the pulley or the running tubes. Have you tried undoing the glass holders and checking the action?

Yes make sure your cables are not in the way of the window mech, going up or down, Mainly the interior release handle cable, the one that looks like a bicycle brake cable.

I nearly made this mistake on the front, but just re-routed it back the way it was.
