another p38 and more issues!

hi all just upgraded my 4.0se to a 4.6 hse and i love it
this has a few issues (i must have had a rare 4.0 se with no issues!)

anyway after searching thru here i believe the switch pack has gone as the windows and mirrors and sunroof dont work although theres power to the plug

main issue really is it wont unlock on the remote? it locks on the remote and it then starts but if i leave it 10 mins it wont start unless i press unlock button again
also the stereo loses its code after 10 mins to so i have to re-enter the code?
anyway i love it and its a nice addition to m wifes disco 2 td5!
ps its a 1999 4.6 hse

right after reading about the becm on rangerovers.net i gather the engine non start is a feature after 1997 if the key is removed from the barrel!

anyone know about the radio keep asking for the code?

Should have kept the one that was working, it was a very rare beast.
Radio keep asking for code suggests a bad connection or a fuse. Underbonnet fuse boxes are known to burn.

It could be that it hasn't been installed permanent live so when you switch the ignition off it loses power and its memory

yes thats what im assuming, but after reading thru a few posts on here im glad its just the radio code im loosing!!
hopefully the switch pack will sort the windows and sunroof etc
i might take the stereo out and check the small fuse on the back
