I haven't heard of Freelander washers being any more prone to blocking than any other car so I can only suggest you check the water is pumping at every stage from the bottle to the nozzles until you find the problem.
Great to hear it is going tho.
Thanks alibro,I have checked where I can but for some stupid reason the tube is wrapped up with a bunch of cables and that’s where the blockage must be think I’m just going to run a new bit of tube, really can’t be bothered unraveling all of that.I much prefer driving the 1.8 to the td4 as well it’s a right little quirky engine.

It is nippy and really nice to drive but I really hope once the washers are fixed that’s the last I see of it for a while so I can get on with the other one.

Strange things do happen with freelander washers. Both mine stopped working. Both sprayed from pipes on jets!! Both looked clean with airline. Soaked overnight in solvent, brake cleaner, and black bits floated out. Ok now.

Have you cleaned the non return valve? It is located in engine compartment where the washer tube comes out of the taped section. Follow the tube down from the top where it goes through the bonnet, it’s a little black plastic thing. Mine was full of black particles that had blocked the spring and ball bearing.

I did I even pulled the spring and the ball bearing out,was definitely somewhere in the tube inside the wiring harness, just replaced it with new tube and a none return.
