Hi
I'm just starting looking for a Land Rover after wanting one for many years. Would dearly love a Defender, but finances, (and family!), wont allow it. So, it looks like its going to be a Disco Tdi. I know, I know, but someone buys them, right? Hopefully, you knowledgable people might be able to help me stay out of too much trouble. I don't want go off road, I just need something to pull a large trailer around at weekends. Well, that's the excuse I've given to my wife, anyway.
 
Search for the What to look for when buying threads there is loads of helpful info on what to look for.

Take someone with you to look at a vehicle, prefferably someone who knows what to look out for.

I'd have gone for a Series three rather than an old disco but each to their own!! ;)

Finally Welcome, dig out your best rhino skin jacket and join in ;) :D :D
 
Disco TDi's are great! Apart from the usual problems but the benefits outweigh the downside. ;) get a good'un and you wont look back. Good luck!
 
Thanks. I know it's a bit of an open ended question, but how much can I expect to pay for a half decent '93 - '95 Disco Tdi? I've seen quite a few on eBay and the prices vary quite a bit. All mine will be used for is towing horses about at weekends.

Do what I done Steve, tell the wife your going out buy an Estate and come back with the 110 you always wanted. My dearly beloved loves the Landy now:D Win win:D:D
