i seem to have a leak from from the drop arm do i need to replace the it or is there a quick and easy fix???

If it's a Series LR then the seals are leaking in the steering relay. If it's a coiler then the bottom seal is leaking the PAS box.
The steering relays are cheap enough to replace as a whole unit. The bottom seal on a PAS can be replaced but it does depend upon how long it has been leaking. It is possible that the shaft in the box is scored and a new seal will leak fairly quickly after replacement.
