another key question

Hi. ive tried to do a search but i only have my phone at the moment and no computer access and the search doesnt seem to work on it. my key unlock button fell apart abit ago so i ordered a replacement (non oe). now obviously i need to get the blade cut and swap the circuit board over, but where is the immob chip? Is it in the circuit board or is it hidden at the base of the blade?

mate got me a spare fob of ebay fob two blades and two batteries 10 quid came with instructions one is straight swap and the other has a small chip thing in key fob u need to cut out and change over. if i can find instructions i will scan and put up here

when you take key apart if ther is only a circiut board with nothing left(ther is a small oblong void blade end that trans is in)your good to go. This was on a td5 disco

Cool cheers. thats why i wanted to check. i stripped it down only to find just the circuit board and nothing else. thats why i thought i would see if its hidden anywere in the plastic. i know the void that your talking about because i thought it looked like it should of been there and its empty
