From the car park next to the railway station at Peterborough today. My pride and joy - a gift for a big birthday from my wife and daughter. Epsom Green, white roof, hard top (no windows on side) fitted with a full width bumper including LED headlamps. Nearly new alloys and brand new BFG AT2 tyres (*5). Usual dents for a 27 year old vehicle. If anyone sees it (even if in pieces) please do let me know.

A Krooklock was fitted on the Momo leather steering wheel but clearly that was not much of an obstacle. The thieves also have a Christmas present dashcam ( but alas not one with a wifi remote) and my Pentax binoculars.

As much as its a good idea within the Landy Zone!! i think this forum should be expanded to allow access to other social media outlets i.e.tweeter, FB!! rather that cut and paste to the social mentioned???

So sorry to hear the bad news bud, really hope they get the fcukers and your defender is OK.
Is there away of making the ignition totally dead, I don't mean disconnected battery ,but something that even the scumbags don't know about?
It's bloody sickening that some low life's are targeting landys, would love to cut the fcukers hands off

Mick and everyone - thanks for the commiserations - I think the attachment is at the very end of the posting. Can't get it in the right place, but that's probably me!
Thinking more about it, how have you got on with CCTV? I know there are barriers and exit via ticket payment at the machine. How did they get your Landy out?

What do they do with them?
You are not going to get much by selling the parts on ebay?
Yer would be surprised. A number on ere have an engine, gearbox or transfer box with serial number scrubbed oft. 2nd hand doors, bonnet and roof panels pop up regular. Sometimes job lots like a chap sellin about 6x puma bonnets. Wheels/tires... The list goes on. Eggspecially if it's full of jewelry like led lights, side steps and roof rack.

Yes, there was CCTV. It shows a male trying the door and joined a moment later by a second man arriving by car in the carpark. Within six minutes the landy moves and tailgates the other car through the exit barrier. It was dark so no chance of recognising the individuals and the landy blocked the reg number (probably false anyway) of the car at the exit gate. Then onto Peterborough City CCTV and waiting to learn what that showed, if anything before the landy will have been lost to the cameras.
Parts on ebay would fetch a fair bit. new crankshaft and transfer box, newish boost alloys, 5 new tyres, unique (almost) light bar, MUD liners and pockets, satnav, dashcam, binoculars, Croytec fixings inside, etc etc. For reference a new car sold from the spares catalogue is more than 8 times the price of the assembled and tested vehicle. Parts (new or used) is good money.....

OK thanks for the info. I do wish you luck.

If they have the car going out they may have the car coming in.
Go to site & stand by the barrier look for every camera around.
Shops, street even a dash cam on a car that's regularly seen therein the car park the same time as you.
Good luck

Phill Thanks for this. The police (very helpful British Transport) and I have tried this, alas to no avail. But I will go and give another look at station CCTV options.
