Also Have found one of the bumpstops laying in the garage today when cleaning. Probbably that's why the driverside has not knocked since installing new shocks.
Should I leave it or re install it?
Will be working again on the freelander when installing the polybush kit.
I know it cushins the shocks when compressed fully although doubt they will compress to that point.
What's your opinion?

The bump stops are there to assist the springs, when the suspension in heavily compressed. If you aren't going to be loading the suspension or going off road. Then you'll probably not notice it missing, for the time being. It's should be there however as it protects the upper mounts and shocks from damage.
L322 is what I'd go for. I fancy a TDV8 Vogue.

It does. After my FL1 V6, I owned a D3 for 2 years. However I got fed up with the bills, so sold it and bought my current Freelander SE. I suspect I'd do the same with the RR. So it makes more sense to stick with the current FL. If I can sort out the annoying gearbox fault.

Still early days, but it looks like fitting a new RH engine mount and lower tie bar has stopped the clutch judder I was getting. Mind you that only happened pulling away not once moving which is when your auto clutch would be engaging.I'm getting a shudder when the torque converter clutch locks in. It started after I towed a ton of concrete making materials home.
TC shudder is a common auto box problem, but not normally on Freelander's. I suspect it's something to do with towing a decent load up a steep hill, flat out with the Synergy on max power. This probably pushes the engine's torque well above the boxes 300Nm torque rating.

landrover scene. Can anyone help. I was driving yesterday and turned a corner heard a bang and niw when i turn a corner i hear a bang also on bumps and when i reverse i hear a grinding noise. Any advice please
Could be one of many things. Have you kept the tyres to LR specs? If so, then look for ball joints and bushes.
