I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up.
Where is the best place to site the sensor?
Cheers :)

Lots of the people on the series 2 forum reckon the bottom hose, Im not fully convinced but they assure me it works just fine and has doene so for a long time.

Ive been having issues with the temp gauge on my 90, fitted with a Disco 200tdi,
Im looking into replacing the gauge in the binnacle with a capillary gauge. Can I just remove the sender from the thermostat housing and then screw the new one in its place?

Ive got two 200tdi, one disco and one defender, the adaptor supplied with the sender fitted one engine but not the other, cant remember which though!

The adapters are almost always 16 x 1.5, which is the later disco and (maybe) all defender engines. The early disco 200tdi engines need a 16 x 1.0 adapter, which are pretty rare. I ended up buying a Die and making my own.
