I will ask again
Saying as you DOWNED me about using washing up liquid for annealing aluminium alloy. As I do not have the use of a furnace I have to use other methods
SO WHAT SHOULD I AND EVERYBODY ELSE USE INSTEAD OF SOAP. ?

mike

You use a bar of solid soap and rub it on the panel like a crayon in zig zags in the area where you wish to anneal!!

I didnt mention rusty tools yer plumb:confused:

I give my views as a professional metal worker if my advice is not required I dont care:mad:

Wonder what grade/series aluminum he is bending?

Just so his panties are not stuck up his arse, the correct thing to use is temp sticks. But so if he can read here is how you do it:rolleyes: Correctly by the book, no short cuts :pound::pound:

I was the one that mentioned the shadow board of rusty hammers most workshops seem to have, then got accused of being idle:rolleyes: still have the toolkits from my Bantam D1 and James Cadet, still rust free, and I can guess whose advice will be listened too:D
