You use a bar of solid soap and rub it on the panel like a crayon in zig zags in the area where you wish to anneal!!

I didnt mention rusty tools yer plumb

I was the one that mentioned the shadow board of rusty hammers most workshops seem to have, then got accused of being idle still have the toolkits from my Bantam D1 and James Cadet, still rust free, and I can guess whose advice will be listened too

I've found that the oily handprints keep my tools nice and rust free
