And now adding a 90 to the collection.......

So some will know of my disco build (full thread on Landyzone) which started as:

And now im adding this to my fleet (car number 10, and Land Rover number 3):
The previous owner to me had it 15 years. How we found it:

And got it in the workshop and had a look round. Seems fairly sound!

Don't forget to keep the shooting cage.

Another day and more progress
Roof and Cab back came off as they had sold:








And carried on stripping. Found some chassis rot, around the outriggers and evidence of previous plating, also bulk head footwells just starting to go but so much better than I thought so far. Some of it looks new such as the fusebox and inside the roof etc:
















And some of the mud thats come off it. I dont think its ever been cleaned!:

I had my Defender stripped to just the bulkhead like that and I was still using it to shunt vehicles around in and out the garage. Just shows how they are very much just a tractor with a fancy cab on them.

What plans do you have for it?

Im looking to restore it to near standard just for everyday use

Chassis is not bad considering though!

So began to strip the donor today!

So thats the donor stripped. Now to carry on stripping the 90 down and selling off its running gear!

So today saw more progress:















And i think its safe to say the chassis is scrap and therefore ill need to get a new one. Its had a new crossmember but some of the other repairs and current rot i think deem it past it.....

You've got a fairly good 100in chassis by the look. Just a thought.

Ive got 4 different 100" chassis but im going to buy a new galv'd 90 one as opposed to repairing and galving this one

Another day on it today:
