Hi Guys

Last year I installed an alarm kit and Range Rover sensor in my land rover and it saved me when my water pump went bad on the way back from Cornwall.

I pretty much combined PRC7925P with a kit online and other than changing the ring crimps for spade receivers its plug and play.

I told the seller what i had done and suggested he do the same and he’s now doing the complete kit! It’s well worth doing as its damn simple and like I said, saved me.

Just wanted to suggest this to people who don’t have the time to make their own this can be installed very quickly.

I’ll post pics of my set up later!

It has a warning light and buzzer but it doesn't turn the fans on. It literally tells you when your coolant level drops below normal (i.e. you have a leak) allowing you to pull over and check the vehicle. I would rather pull over and check then have a fan turn on personally.

No, it tells you when you are low on coolant and then you can check yourself, I'm not the seller of the item but am sure if you asked him directly he would give you all the answers you need. I just found it a very helpful first indicator that the coolant was lower then it should be. I wouldn't really be driving it when the coolant is too low anyway and theres a temp gauge (not very good i know) on the dash.

The one I have, tells you when the water level is low and/or the temp at the thermostat is too high. Switches on the fans ( with manual override to turn them on, or off) and has two warning lights. One to tell you fans are on and one for overtemp.

OP - thanks for the info....:)

Did you make that MHM, or is it a purchased doodah ???

Been looking at doing this for a while.... and SWMBO's recent water pump failure* is persuading me, slowly, to find the energy to be bothered ;)

* failure isn't quite right ... she came home from work with a stuck pig swinging a bag of spanners under the bonnet - wasn't leaking yet ... just making my ears bleed
