Amp or radio problem

I have a 2001 p38 and although the car stereo works it is only on at a low level and I cannot adjust volume up or down.also no sound is coming out of speakers only thru sub-woofer.

The amps are more prone to death than the head unit due to where they are mounted in the rear quarter. So my money would be on that.
