Our late '99 Freelander anniversary model came with a boot mounted amp. and twin speaker set up (Park Lane Landrover , London ). It has Harmon Kardon badges on the front tweeter covers but no manufacturers name on the amp .I removed it after the boot well flooded and removed the terminal connector at the same time as the spades were corroded. Problem I have now is that I cannot find the wiring diagram for the terminal block:doh:
Does anyone have the same set up fitted that could tell me the orientation of the wiring.
Also the 12v supply is not available on what I think is the supply line ( heavier gauge red wire) the Haynes wiring diagram shows no ref. to such a system and I've checked all fuses and found none blown, where does the supply come from ?
I guess it will be spurred off a handy source and a lower rated in line fuse fitted .
Anyway, I have to fit a new head unit as the original LR single unit is US ( no bass ) and it would be nice to recommission the amp at the same time.

Hi , just joined , see you posted this in january so maybe you have sorted it ,I have the same problem (amp flooded) is there an in line fuse ? and where is it located, save me stripping half the car , any help would be very much appreciated ,

regards,

Sorry for the delay in replying.
I only started the thread in early June ,'fraid I haven't had a chance to dig deeper into it yet. To be honest I'm thinking I'll leave the amp out of the car and just go for a good head unit.
I'll still have to sort out the rear door speaker wiring as it's been taken straight to the boot amp.
I'll post up what I find .
Don
