Amber HDC fault on freelander 2000

Hi just purchased a 2000 freelander 1.8 xei with a amber HDC dash light showing. Please help
as I understand this problem is to with the auto breaking when in hill.

Where's the best place to start from ??

What are the long term effects ie breaks overheating ect.

Any advice please oh great ones.

start with the brake light switch on the brake pedal, cheap and easy enough to change an is a common fault, do a search for three amigoes and all will be revealed.

if that dunt cure it, come back and we'll go through some more.
