am so proud of ME , ME , ME , ME

Ive only had mi defender a year so still a newbie learning alot and although a friend helped me out with the engine transplant yesterday i did my own first roadside repair and i dont mean change a wheel

i must say thanks though to frank , frank sinatra - i did it my way cos while laid under the car doing what i was his song popped into my head and i soon forgot about the ****ing down rain runniing down my back

so what did i do , only a little job but sometimes these are the most pleasing as this one was for me

so what did i do ?

changed the front prop shaft

i know 8 x 9 16th bolts not much but hey ho i was happy

ice one.

Doesn't matter what it is, so much more satisfying than having to take it to a garage. ;)

before we award platitudes,
what constitutes a roadside repair?,
is it on route somewhere or does parked outside home or place of work count?

we must have rules.

LOL ..

I don't care, anything that stops the stealers getting peoples money is good in my book ..;)

well i was on the way to the hospital for mi physio and had to leg it the last 1.5 miles. i then went for the part and returned the following morning to sort it out. so that to me means it was a proper roadside repair as i was going somewhere. and not just sat outside my house

mmmm,
grey area though,
because you didn't make do with what was readily at hand at time of breakdown, therefore negating the true utility factor.
we'll have to see sean or griffdawg about this im afraid.
if it was me i'd let you have it,
but it don't work like that on the zone amigo......sorry.
