Am I on a slog to nothing?

Hi. Ok I've just joined today. Have a P38 4.0 gems 1996 in white and my wallet is seriously falling out with the new love of my life.....water pump,brakes,suspension and skimmed heads/gaskets all at a garage(not land rover).
My thing is that while I adore her....she is becoming a bu**er!

After head gaskets sorted 5 days ago she has started using oil and smoking (grey/white) when ticking over or at 50mph. No water loss,m.p.g at 20 on short ish runs........argh .......the fuel regulator has no vacuum pipe fitted....

Whispers !! IS IT TIME FOR HER TO GO.
