Am I being ripped off

Been quoted £1800.00 to replace clutch by main dealer only done 4000 ml since I bought the car it's total mileage is 40000ml

bloody hell, to me that sounds a rip off

however with them charging around 120 per hour

have u priced up the parts

is it defentely the clutch , noting to do with air etc

I would suggest that you are being had over a barrel, and that a clutch should last more than 4000 miles - I.E. I suspect it was some sort of LR approved used vehicle, and thus tested before you bought it, by LR themselves, and assessed as "good"..... and then covered under some sort of extended warranty.
£1800 for a clutch is extortion in my book - there is a reason why they are all known as "main stealers"

Yes. Massively. LR changed my clutch a few years ago for £950

2012 freelander bought from maln dealer 4 months ago and have only done 4000 ml

Whats the issue here?
That the clutch has is gone so soon?
That the clutch has gone after 40k?
Or that the cost to replace is so high?
