Hi All

Freelander 2 (Lr2) Auto, is it normal for you to feel a slight vibration on tickover?
its a 59 reg with 100k on the clock.
mainly feel it through the seat, when driving seems fine?
Had a quick Google about common rail sensor? but looked like it was for a earlier model....

Thanks for looking.....

is it petrol ? or diesel if diesel you do get a certain amount and the engine is a rougher engine so to speak but saying that what kind of vibration is it.

You can see the FL2's I've owned from the signature on this post.

I've never experienced any particular vibration through the seat, though my current auto has only done 19,700 miles. Never heard of it from other FL2 drivers either.

Can't give any helpful suggestions on it I'm afraid, other than putting it down to "character" on a 100,000 mile old engine....

Please let us know if you find a fix.

John

Hi
Thanks for the replies.
Its a diesel engine and the vibration is almost like a mobile phone vibrating in your pocket only happens on tickover, Its going in for a full service soon so will get the injectors cleaned out at the same time.

Got the same problem at 75000 miles..... But only since i had new clutch&dpf fitted(at a reputable dealer). Was warned about using luk parts but went ahead. Am returning it to the garage shortly to get it checked professionaly. Will come back with result if they sort it.
