Right i,ve sold cars before on ebay and never had any issues with regards to bids and selling them.

However ma wee 90,s been on almost a week and all i seem to get is people wanting to partex or offering way under what i feel its worth.

Ma 90 on ebay!

Now i paid 3500 last october and since then i,ve spent a bit in not only money but time also. She flew through its MOT with no advisories!:)

So does anybody else have stories of problems whilst selling Defenders on ebay or have i priced it wrong?. I know somefolk will say its priced too high but it cant of decreased in price that much in only 4 months!

Oh and folk organising a time to veiw and not appearing has well and truley gripped ma ****e!

Its not too high , the used vehicle market is finally getting hit by the Govt induced recession , a friend of mine in the used car game says things are really slowing down , punters are buying when forced to , not because they fancy a change . The only buoyant part is the small car end eg Matiz picanto etc. I am trying to sell a subaru 2003 awd legacy service history , everything works taxed and tested two new tyres , new clutch , down to £1200 , you think people would be queuing up ?

You say that but i sold ma 530 Bmw m-sport petrol in october and folk were snatching my hand off for it!

It had 125k on it service history and was ma pride and joy. Bought it whilst i was posted in Germany.

It went for 2 grand without anybody veiwing it!

The mind boggles!

Nice vehicle and worth every penny of 3500 if not more.

Yeah shes rough and i state that in the article, guess being honest gets you nowhere!:(

Using my experence of buying the 90 and what i,ve seen people pay i though 3500, maybe more was a resonable offer.

Guess i,ll relist tommorrow, balls i need the money for the service on the audi and some new slippers fur the 110!

Yep it should fetch 3.5K + but ebay is notorious for people messing you about, try an autotrader advert and you might have more luck - wash and wax it and take lots of good pics for the advert and DON'T say "its rough" !!!

Also check that any of the photos don't show "less good" parts - i.e the MOT fail worthy steering drop arm ball joint cover ;)

Hi ive been looking for a 90 for about 3 months and finally got one last week,
We had looked at about 6 that where on e.bay and asking around the same as yours and not one was worth what they wanted .(in the opinion of my brother in law who has worked on landys for 20 +)
Yours looks a good one and depends how long you can afford to keep it.
Would try droping to £3300.
Mine has good body work sound chassis and drive chain and engine, needed new brakes complete and a couple of ball joints and Paid £2800 its a 1991 tdi 200.

The interior does show the rear door looking rough but i,m giving a donor door with the vehicle. The photos do show the wee beast in fairly good angles. I,ve tried to list all the pros and cons of the vehicle. But somefolk cant read!

I wouldn't let it go for under £3.5k

Cheers i thought its a fair price, the engine runs fantastic but looks wise she needs some tlc, was one of the reasons i bought it, wee project. But now i,ve got a new project, that needs funds!

Cheers Daz i just mentioned a few wee problems nothing much, nothing worse going to veiw a vehilce and finding out the seller used "creative imigaination" when describing the vehicle. found this out afew times:mad:

Gents cheers for all your input and thoughts its still only sat at 3100, and i,d rather pay to relist than let it go for that little. Being honest aint getting me anywhere, and ####ing no showers again!

Mines a 1995 with a full MOT and 6 months tax, currently sat in the workshop at camp staying warm and dry, i can afford to hold on but i need to release the money so i can swap the wifes car, downsizing. But i need to replace hers before i sell the Audi and get some money fur the 110, going to be a long month febuary like!

I'd advertise it on:
AUTOTRADER
GUMTREE
FREEADS
ADTRADER
PRELOVED
UKCLASSIFIEDS
VIVA STREET
LOOT
USED CAR TRADER

All of the above sites are free to advertise on except AUTOTRADER
More people that see it = more chance of a sale :)

Looks like i may have a buyer from Norfolk, whos putting terrifirma cranked trailing arms and castor corrected link arms with his suggested price.

Which may work out well as the 110 has 2inch lift when i bought it and i was toying with the idea of removing the lift or changing the arms, brake hoses.

Not hard cash but could be just as good a deal!
