Am I about to ripped off??

Disco 2 gone back in to have leaky sunroof fixed, but on arrival they were suggesting it could be a different problem from the original one. Poss roof joints or roof bars, even though the symptoms are exactly the same, water coming through courtesy light and lots of it. I feel like I'm about to be stung!

Any help, thoughts, please. Thanks

why? it could very well be what they say. let them find out first n give you a quote.

I would of done it myself, it's fiddly but an easy fix, even if it is the roofbars too

chasing leaks is time consuming and a guessing game. You can do it yourself with a friend and a hose-pipe if you want to remove the headlining, and then sit inside with a torch whilst he pours the hose over the top. Would save a small fortune, as it can take hours, and garages are not cheap!

It may or may not help you much, but friend has had this with his D2 and after many searches, they did not find the problem, so he sealed everything up, the rails from inside and out, sunroofs - still leaks though!

carpet tape each area thats suspect in turn untill found..

Picked up, repaired and FOC, no quibble even though repair was in a different place, so very grateful and appreciative. Trust restored .
