Got some minor bubbling or corrosion starting to show on rear arch just inside back door
Anyone advise me on best way to treat it
Any good chemicals
Thanks Mark

Funnily there is an article or letter on this in this month's LRM, let me just find it.
Right, page 14.
"Dielectic jointing compound" can be painted on, to both surfaces and then painted over. "
apparently galvanising is good until it wears out, plastic coating is not so good as it wears out faster.
This chap used "Duralac" , looks like this stuff, https://www.mbfg.co.uk/duralac.html although their advice on use is a bit different to his.
Best of luck!

I will have a read tonight all equal
I take it Norfolk garage is an article in mag
It is a section written every month by a guy whom actually runs an old skool LR garage. It is full of real, hands on info, especially for the Series brigade.
Anyway, page 14 is the letter about the corrosion thing!
Enjoy the read!

I am sure that will soon get sorted nice and easy to work on
I haven't even said which car it is! In fact it's a Marlin Roadster which I parked up a good few years ago with a transmission fault and have not yet found the time to look at.
Car's deteriorated a lot since then as parked outside with inadequate protection against the weather. So the simple fault will now mean a whole recommisssion. There is no clutch fluid in the reservoir, for a start!:(

I’ll still leave that one with you
But a nice car when done
