Be careful renewing the bearings as the alloy case casting snaps easy. I mig welded the fracture it is still holding up after 12 months.
 
Well the new alternator is doing its job properly. My old bus now also has new rear brake cylinders and pads, with some new pipe. Also the fuel gauge now works, the old float was a sink, full of petrol. Next tasks are to get the heater fan working and stop the leaks in the cooling system. Then to get the right footwell welded up as a result of being driven for years with wellies covered in sea water as it was used by a marina to tow boats up a slipway
