alternator on 3.9 conversion

i converted my 3.5 v8 landy to a 3.9. after alot o messing around with electrics an extending the wiring harness so i can put the ecu behind the passenger seat i cant get the alternater to work. its a new unit. do i need the battery warning light to be wired up to the back of the alt to act as a switch or can i just bypass it some how. just want to get it working not that fussed how it looks or how it works as long as it does

yes ,battery feed to B+ and ignition feed at D+

so if i take a wire from the existing loom that is connected to the batt lite on dash that is the ignition feed? im really bad at electrics! what is the othe connector for on the alt that has a W

yes just extend or shorten existing wire to fit w is for rev counter in discos and rr

thanks mate. been messing with this for along time. do u know much about this conversion. im thinking that i mite have to change the ecu to a earlier one without the lambna sensor or does this not matter or can i bypass it

it will run without lambdas connected ,or you can fit lambdas in your downpipes
