Good evening, just a little bit more help needed haha.

Well my alternator doesn't have the clip that keeps the connector in at the back. I think it might be causing my battery light to come on dimly as when I push the connector back on the light goes out again.

Was just wondering where I can get one from??

It could be the cause of the light glowing dimly, I am sure the clip comes with the alternator. when i had my TD the plug melted on the back of the alternator.
i had to replace the plug and bend a bit of wire to hold it in place

If it is a lucas two large charging and one battery light in a black plug they do burn and a replacement plug kit is available, clean the connections

That or a diode is on it's way possibly.

The first alternator i bought didn't come with one when i bought it from paddocks and then i bought the second one from someone who works for ford and I bought the alternator via them as it was about half the price of buying from anywhere else and it again never came with the clip.

It's the little pull over clip I need. The connector works fine when it's in it's correct position.

I got a link on here or one of the other forum ages ago to the parts cat, it's all on pdf so it was just a Case of downloading it, only thing is some of the parts have been superseded now and still gotta arse about to find the right number
