alloys on a 110

mot time is fast approaching for my 1990 110 now the work is almost done but I have noticed a slight problem and hoping someone can help.

it is currently sitting on what i think are disco 1 300tdi alloys



problem with these are the front hub nuts stick out too far and they dont sit properly so would have a good chance of breaking if used but I do have a set of the older 200tdi alloys



anyone know if these will fit or am I going to have the same problem? I would check but the 110 is at the workshop and spare tyres are at home and it isnt easy to get one to t'other.

otherwise if anyone wants a set of alloys for a set of disco/defender steelies i am more than happy to swap wheels and nuts

Big thanks to Drippy for pointing me in the direction of these land rover wheel spacers x4 on eBay (end time 19-Nov-10 20:56:55 GMT)

checked with the seller before buying and they have a larger centre hole to accomodate the bigger hub and means I can keep the alloys and dont have to mess about transfering the tyres onto steel wheels (for now anyway )

those alloys arent load rated to carry the 110, the only LR ones that are upto it are the Boosts as far as i know

think they should be ok for now mate, the plan is to eventually move onto modulars or wellers anyway and wont be doing any laning or heavy graft until i do.

most important is getting it through the mot at present

You're forgetting the fact that alloy wheels look stupid on a proper land rover.

couldnt agree more, it shouldnt have had alloys in the first place and will be changed but i need to get it on the road asap and will go to steels when funds allow
