Alloy wheels.

Guys, will alloy wheels from a Discovery 3 swap straight onto a Discovery 2 ? Cheers

I dont think they will but i'm not 100% certain

I think alloys from a p38 rangie will. Think the pcd is the same with the p38 and the disco 3. So not 100% sure but think yes they will.

The P38 and D2 wheels are the same fitment.

I,ve seen D3 and RRS wheels on D2,s, but I think a spigot ring is needed.

I've seen too.....just that i've had doubts about the straight swap.

I've found these on this site http://www.alloywheels.com/fitment.asp?makesearch=Land Rover

1. Make : Land Rover Model : Discovery 3 Year : 04> PCD : 5x120, Offset : 30 to 50, Bore : 72.6
2. Make : Land Rover Model : Discovery 2 Year : 98> PCD : 5x120, Offset : 30 to 50, Bore : 70.1

it seems that straight swap goes just for 18" and bigger size

Looking at that info. then I,d say that the spigot ring will make up for the differance in bore.

I,ve got a mate whose got a set of RRS wheels he doesnt want. I,ll pick one up and try it on my Disco.

I too have not heard the term " staight swap " used in relation to this wheel swap.

that's the best way .....to try it first.....but if u have to use a fitting ring then it's not 100% straight swap isnt it?

if you are fitting l322 or d3 wheels to a d2 or p38 then spigot rings are required

Thanks guys, by straight swap I meant do they have the same offset, stud pattern etc (must be a northern thing if you haven't come across that term) but hey ho I guess as long as we're talking LR we're talking the same language....
Where do I get spigot rings from, are they bespoke to a certain type of wheel or a universal fit? Thanks again...

Think I've just answered my own question. I've just founf a kit on ebay to fit later RR wheels to a disco 2 including spigots and nuts. Just need to find a nice set of wheels and tyres now. Anyone got a set between 18 - 20 inch, like new for sale?
