Allisport or Allard Intercooler

Going ahead with a intercooler upgrade and wondered if anyone had advice, pros/con's on the Allard or Allisport uprated Intercoolers.

Looking for improved driveability and low end torque, its a defender so I know its never going to be quick and I dont need it to be...

if it's just a lil improvement you want, have a look at pump tweaking, but don't go too far.

Be careful with pump tweaking unless you do go for a bigger intercooler, you dont want to melt something. With minor adjustments you should be ok.

should be a few on how to do it on google, think there's a id somewhere.

to be really safe, you would stick in a egt (exhaust gas temperature) gauge then monitor the temps under load, say up a long hill.

but a lil turn shouldn't do any harm, it's when people adjust it right up, when issues happen.
