I've got Insa Dakars too. No complaints on road apart from the noise, but I don't use my Defender on road that much. Only for occasional drives to get the wheels turning between offroad outings.

Will be replacing them for a set of 35" Baja Claws though!

i run in my muds (SATS) most of the year
both for work and for play

had few problems wi the says on cobles in the old town when its icey

but apart from that its fine is a bit noisy
newer post 1970 style muds are fine to run on all the time

i ran kt03 with no noise issues or handling, cant remember fuel going down, cos it was ****e any way.

I run muds, but i run them at 30 psi so they are soft and dont make alot of noise. Its not to low to pop them off the rim when cornering either.

I do 600km a week on road, and about 8 hours at weekend off and run mine with 235 85 16 muds (Guyerre black stars, BFG MT copies, with a bit more meat)all the time, if you go fast enough to worry about handling then you are driving the wrong kinda motor ;)

Fuel was never a concern, its a Landy after all, but they are a tad noisy but i have come to love the drone.

As most that seem to have replied to this, I run mud's full time, as said road holding not so good, and vibration if you push it above 60, noisy all the time. but know I shouldn't get stuck, and as said, maybe above 60 you need to drive something else, cant comment about fuel costs as I never have taken it into account. but noise and vibration cant be a good sign.

Well thanks for all the advice chaps now fitted the muds and all seems well not much noise at all, not tried any serious offroading with them yet but salisbury is looming lol
