I have a discovery 3. I am thinking about putting on all terrain tyres. I currently have continental 265/70/R17H on. I have been looking at general grabbers 265/70/R17XLOWLs. Does anyone know if I put on all terrains will it affect my insurance or extended warranty?

i dnt think it will affect the warranty or out but a quick phone call to ask the question is the best bet as all insurance groups and warranties are different..

better to be safe then sorry...

not much help sorrry

I suggest you get it in writing. Insurance companies try and wriggle out at any opportunity. However the social and domestic pleasure class would cover incidental off road use. That was what the vehicle was designed for.
For specific off road use, the warranty may require the fitting of diff. guards and steering guards.
However for any off road surety, you would need all terrains but mud terrains are ideal. Do you need a "Chelsea tractor" or a vehicle that is off road able?

I suppose if they can call it a vehicle modification they will charge you extra. - I don't think I would tell them if it was only a change of tyres! Not sure about the warranty though.
