hi on my p38 i have a warning come up anout a alarm fault. any idea what it could be of it it has a fuse i could check?

dont think it has fuse as such can you start it?

Probably have the alarm function disabled in the becm...that will throw up "Alarm Fault" for a split second sometimes when switching the ignition on.

yeah the car starts, when i set the alarm the horn sounds like it does when i leave a door open or something. what is becm??

Could be a dodgy connection at the harness to the door outstation which is a "Handshake" to the BECM (Body Electric Control Module) . The BECM is the main ECU on the car and is interfaced with every other ecu.
