I got a 94 disco 300tdi, when bought had no remote key fob, i have heard i can but 1 for around £30 and programme it to mine, Is It Worth it. deos anyone know if this is true about programming it to mine. P.s. alarm works as i found out, central locking works with indicators flashing...

You must have a single button fob and that's user programable and it's simple, just search the forum for the info.

Check to make sure you get the correct frequency fob for it too.

Having check a few other forum's on here, i think i should have an alarm box thing under drivers seat !!! but there is nothing. Also i wouldn't know what frequency i require. If there is any info on these topics available i would appreciate it.. Cheers.

The alarm ecu is up behind the glovebox it's a black box with a tv coax style antenna plug pluged into it.
There are two frequencies 315 and 433Mz, from vin MA081992 it changed to 433 (uk spec) as u don't say where u r in the world, but still best to check.
All the info you need is in the workshop manual under electrical section also how to program your new fob.

Thanks for that Discool, sorry yeah i am in the south of England, also my vin number is ma0980 and sumthing so i guess it would be the 433Mz. Once again many thanks for your input mate..
