It seems i have screewed my alarm/immoliser module.

it got wet so i dried it out and it seemed to be working but i unplugged it while the engine was running to dry the connectors that were still wet and now i'm not getting any fuel out of the injectors and it won't start.

shut off solenoid has 12v & starter is turning.

this is a 1995 300 TDI es auto with EDC fuel pump.

If i buy another alarm unit from ebay etc what would i have to do to get it working in my disco,

dose it need syncing with my EDC ip and my key fob?

if so how is this done.

Cheers

Vince

Have you got a one button fob? If so you can just replace the module and resync the fob to it youself, insructions are on here somewhere. All will then be OK. If it is a 2 button I don't know the answer other than you can't sync the fobs without the right equipment.

Hopefully some one with knoledge of the EDC will be along soon.

2 button unfortunatly,

dose anyone know of a company near devizes that will come out and resync my EDC, Alarm & key fobs? obviously i can't drive it anywhere so it will have to be a mobile outfit.

Cheeers

As the 12v supply has been removed from the alarm ecu you will have te resync the fob/s to the ecu, thats done simply by pressing the lock button 4 times.

not that simple, the fob is working as it locks and unlocks ok, i can also turn the engine over is the imobiliser part of the alarm system is working, what its not doing is telling the EDC controlled pump to send fuel to the injectors.
