Just jumped in my car after having the windscreen replaced - now the earth for the heated screen is knackered and I will have to make a new one when I get home - but would that cause the alarm fault???
Thanks - also think wipers are on wrong too as the drivers side is going right off the screen when at full height ?!
That's because whomsoever fitted the screen has put the wiper back in the wrong place.
Just home and I'm not happy at all!!
so I now have Alarm fault, my interior is covered in old seal and ****, and I have black fingerprints up both interior pillars surrounding the windscreen! The wipers are shocking!! drivers side going totally off the screen????
Take photos and call 'em up or the insurance comapny and give them fecking hell and send them the photos....yes I know, but why should I have to now go out and correct someone else being lazy??
Update after a night of rain I now have water in both foot wells!!????
If it is antifreeze then heater matrix o rings or matrix if your unlucky.
If it is rain water look at pollen filter covers, roof seam does sometimes leak or screen bonding
+1 and wrench the feck outta them too....Get it back to the people who fitted the screen and get them to sort it. I would be looking for compo for inconvenience also. Bloody disgusting workmanship.
+2; legal action, small claims courtGet it back to the people who fitted the screen and get them to sort it. I would be looking for compo for inconvenience also. Bloody disgusting workmanship.
Just don't let the valeting company steam clean the interior or you'll have a dead BECMLook around the inside of the screen gently pushing on the glass if it moves , bad bond line, Get on the phone and give it to them tell them you need a new screen fitted valet and alarm sorting . And let you insurance company know whats happend they told you to use them
