Alarm and locking doors

I have a freelander 2 that initially locks, then the alarm goes off, I open it and try to lock but when I prss lock all I get is the sound of the horn. If I open the doors and close them again it sometimes locks. Anyone any idea what might be wrong, I have tried using both keys, no difference. Only had this 4 weeks and its my first one.

something is not closing properly, although all the doors are closed, don't forget that the alarm also monitors the bonnet and the boot.

try opening and closing those too and see if the problem persists.

the fault is not with the fob however, this is a vehicle issue.
