Does anyone around Nuneaton have one of those nanacom machines that can help with alarm and immobilisers? Mine is really cheesing me off. And now seems to have stopped altogether from the fob which means alarm going off when entered and immobilisation. Apparently you can adjust it to work straight from the key?

Contact your local Landrover dealer, of you have proof of ownership then they should give it to you.

Is it immobilized at the moment? if it is then you need the EKA.

If it is immobilized then nanocom will not communicate with it. If it is not immobilized, then I can head over and have a look with a nanocom if needed.

Cheers

Wow, thanks mate, that's great.
It's a bit hit and miss, as the other day I managed to gain access. Alarm going off. Put key in ignition and bingo, but then another time none of it works.

OK,

If it was immoblised then the car would not have started.

If you lock with the key and then unlock what happens?

Do you have a spare key? if yes does it work?

Cheers

If it is intermittent regarding starting once you are in the car, I wonder if the BCU has stated to fail. ( although I may be wrong)

once you get the EKA give me a shout and we can get a nanocom on it to see if it shows anything.

Cheers

OK, so a little update on this.
I managed to obtain my EKA code but to no avail would it work. Managed to get it started (fluke), connected a nanocom and found out the original EKA had been changed to something so ridiculous you'd never have guessed it in a million years.
My advice to anyone with a new vehicle or is new to owning a land rover like myself. Get a nanocom asap on it and check your EKA and possibly change it to something more simple AND WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE! Also pass it on to any future owners.
Also check your other settings with the nanocom, like key entry options etc..

A massive thank you goes to neilly and Jonnyb1990 for helping me out.

Hi Tonks1974,

I changed the settings on mine to be the same as what was set on yours and it acts in exactly the same way as yours did, So fingers crossed all is good.

Cheers
