alarm and door light

hi there any body any ideas my alarm suddenly goes off have to reset then ok for few hours now it is showing a door open light on and interior lamp on any ideas on which door swich is playing up or how to test them freelander is 5 door 2001 td4 :croc:

could be:

1) rear tailgate
2) rear tailgate window open
3) front o/s door
4) front n/s door
5) rear o/s door
6) rear n/s door
7) bonnet

as yours is the 5 door, you don't have the roof removed switch to worry about. bonnet switch is unlikely to cause interior light to come on.

close all doors, and wait about 10 mins for interior light to go out ( it does this to save power even tho it thinks the faulty door is still open)
Then open a door, and if the interior light comes on, then it's the wrong one.
Repeat until you get the right one!
Then you probably have to replace the lock.
