Good day all

Please tell me what are the symptoms of a V8i if the air flow sensor goes faulty and is there a way to test it ?

mine felt like a rev limiter at 2500rpm dont know about testing tho

I am asking as my Disco suddenly started to lose power , not pull when accelerating and very jerky, I discovered that the vacume advance was faulty so I have replaced that, but still the same so I was wondering if it could be the Mass air flow sensor ?:doh:

Airflow problem, mine the idle would not settle/ revs would rise and fall/ the engine would suddenly stop at low revs or at junctions. There are tests you can carry out but quite in-depth. Have a look at this Rover SD1 Forum Snippet #12 - Stop Efi Power Losses in 15 Easy Steps
