Just had air con re gassed kwickfits they said it couldn't b filled as it was leaking from a valve the bloke said prob better to replace them both does anyone no what the part numbers are

If you mean the service port valves -ie the ones they connect the charging machine to - then you may have a problem. I had the same thing, and by chance managed to get a replacement valve, (thread here http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/aircon-leak-servicing-connection-189661-2.html - gives the details, you'll need to plough through some banter and abuse though), but I think you may have to replace the pipes unless you strike lucky.

I don't fink he ment the service valves I said I had a new condenser rad fitted last year an he said it was something to do with the valves to that

Yes, the Shraeder type valves can be replaced.

Yes they can - but finding them (new) is next to impossible. I couldn't find a part No for them anywhere and neither could Autocool.

I struck lucky that one of the Autocool techs had one in his 'bit box'. Later ones have a different thread size. I think most people replace the pipes complete.

But before you do anything else I would find out which valves he as talking about, I've never been any sort of a fan of Kwik**** - go to ATS and tell them what's happened - competitive spirit should kick in ;)

Good luck.

Never been a fan of Halfords for mechanical work (shops ok) but got into my elderly Focus the other day after finishing work, was a very hot one, and just swung in on the spur of the moment as it is on my way home, regassed it while I waited there and then, £49 guaranteed for a year, was impressed, works a treat:)

Will take it back to the fella that fitted the condenser he will sort it an re gas it at same time but franks for the ats tip
