Hi all, my missus TD5 would 'collapse' every now and again on the right side, the compressor was replaced last year so i knew that was ok, got some info off here and all pointed towards the 'airbag', bought one-not cheap!! and paid for my local garage to fit it(£40)for me as did not fancy that. But was informed that both should be replaced at the same time, is this the case?? also to warn others that it collapsed twice while driving(that was bumpy-felt sea sick), i think the compressor got hot, i was putting off the job-no way again, hence why i am asking should i change the other side?? also it always appears to be passenger sides that go!!

From my experience, just been through the same situation as you, you should change both air bags at the same time, dont kow why, but everyone I spoke to advised this. I have had no problems sice doing this. As someone from this site informed me, Land Rover reckonn the bags should be replaced every 5 years.
If I knew replacing the bags would solve the problem, I would have done it months ago, but I was conviced it was something else, because the "Soapy water test" never produced any bubbles.

mine keeps going down also. my friend advised me to convert them to springs then i would not have a problem any more. i looked on e-bay for the kit i found one for £99 then looked for the airbag for one it was £75. i just might do it and save £50 odd squid.
